Brief presentation of the institution

Main Electroporation related topics

At this point, the ISL does not actively pursue research activities in the field of electroporation. The ISL has built up expertise in the generation of transient electromagnetic fields. We are able to offer solutions for a wide variety of applications. Together with partners from the CPST in Vilnius we are developping a generator deliverling nanosecond pulses for the investigation of biological cells. Experiments will be carried out at our site.

Main Electroporation related research techniques and equipment

Our main expertise is the generation of transient electromagnetic fields. We are able to characterize electric and magnetic fields in a large range of amplitudes and time scales. We have developped corresponding metrology in house. For the case of strong electric fields we are equipped with an anechoic chamber. We also have modeling tools at hand, e.g. CST or COMSOL.

Research topics, techniques and equipment not related to Electroporation

The ISL is working on a wide range of activities (see our website). Of interest for the community of electroporation  is most likely our expertise in the field of electrical pulsed power, laser physics and nanotechnology. In the field of electrical pulsed power the ISL is member in a European network in this field: EPPL (www.eppl.eu).
