Electroporation for Medicine: Basic Knowledge, Applications and Technologies

This course disseminates the latest knowledge and technological innovations on electroporation and its biomedical and treatment applications (electrochemotherapy, gene electrotransfer, tumor ablation etc.).
The course is open to medical doctors in oncology, dermatology, surgical specialties and to other professionals from the clinics, but also to medical students, PhD students and researchers in human and veterinary medicine, dentistry, biology, biotechnology, biophysics-biochemistry.
During three half-days, the course is organized in lectures and tutorials which give the concepts as molecular mechanisms and technological development of electroporation, but focuses mainly on clinical applications and potential developments.

The course is organized by Carol Davila Medical University and Romanian Society of Pure and Applied Biophysics within the frame and with the financial support of the COST Action TD 1104 and Parintele Galeriu Association.
A limited number of COST grants are available upon request as a contribution to the costs of travel and accommodation:
• 300 euro for travel and 360 euro for accommodation for attendees outside Romania,
• 50 euro for travel and 200 euro for accommodation for Romanian attendees outside Bucharest.
The grant of fixed amount is collected as reimbursement.
