7th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology – CETO Co-Organized by COST Action TD1104

The aim of the Conference is to promote the achievements of basic and clinical investigators on mechanisms of tumor initiation, development and progression as well as the introduction of new strategies for detection, prevention and treatment of cancer. Lectures, short oral presentations and poster presentations selected from submitted abstracts will cover seven major Conference topics:
• Tumor progression,
• Invasion and metastases,
• Biomarkers,
• New drugs and therapeutic targets,
• Delivery systems in cancer,
• Cellular therapy,
• Biomedical applications of electroporation,
• Environmental carcinogens and cancer prevention.
The topic Biomedical applications of electroporation will be Co-Organized by COST Action TD1104. It will consist of three sections where the discussion leaders will be Julie Gehl, Marie-Pierre Rols, Maja Cemazar and Gregor Sersa. New developments of electroporation based treatment, predominantly on the clinical level will be presented, as well as some new basic concepts.
The Conference will be held in the most famous Slovenian coast resort Portoroz from April 20 – 24, 2013.
