Electroporation for Medicine: Basic Knowledge, Applications and Technologies
International Course
October 25 – 27, 2012
Bucharest, Romania
This course disseminates the latest knowledge and technological innovations on electroporation and its biomedical and treatment applications (electrochemotherapy, gene electrotransfer, tumor ablation etc.).
The course is open to medical doctors in oncology, dermatology, surgical specialties and other professionals from the clinics, but also to medical students, PhD students and researchers in human and veterinary medicine, dentistry, biology, biotechnology, biophysics-biochemistry.
During three half-days, the course is organized in lectures and tutorials which give the concepts as molecular mechanisms and technological development of electroporation, but focuses mainly on clinical applications and biological potential of the method.
The course is organized by Carol Davila Medical University and Romanian Society of Pure and Applied Biophysics within the frame and with the financial support of the COST Action TD 1104.
A limited number of COST grants for travel and accommodation are available upon request for attendees outside Romania.
