The objective of the workshop is to offer to students, academic and industrial scientists the opportunity to improve their knowledge of the fundamentals and applications of the effects of pulsed electric fields. The Workshop will not only attract experts in electroporation but also experts in other fields of research, such as imaging and microbiology in order to promote fruitful discussions.
Topics of the Workshop will include:
- Macromolecules in strong electric fields
- Imaging electric field effects
- Spores electroeradication
Chairpersons: Michel Bureau (University Paris-Descartes, CNRS, France), Marie-Pierre Rols (Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology, CNRS, Toulouse, France), and Justin Teissié (Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology, CNRS, Toulouse, France).
Scientific Committee: Wolfgang Frey (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany), Muriel Golzio (Institute of Pharmacology and Structural Biology, CNRS, Toulouse, France), Damijan Miklavčič (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovenia), Lluis Mir (Institute Gustave Roussy, CNRS, Villejuif, France), Eberhard Neumann (University of Bielefeld, Germany), Javier Raso (University of Zaragoza, Veterinary School, Spain).
