Atrial fibrillation (AF) represents an important health problem. Catheter ablation of AF is an effective treatment, but the results are suboptimal.
Electroporation holds promise to overcome existing deficiencies of current “energies”, i.e. radiofrequency and cryoablation, but more research needs to be done – including basic research by ISEBTT community.
